Thank you, that makes me feel better about it.As long as they are dry, not in muddy conditions they can handle cold, and very inclimate conditions.
Sometimes mine stay out in the cold rain all night, instead of getting under the sheltered area and make it through ok.
There's 2 times when it's traumatizing, when their chick's and at 'end of life'! either by predation or disease or other reasons.Thank you, that makes me feel better about it.
I know most of the time I'm just being a mother hen () but I had such a hard time with them when they were chicks that I think I'm a bit traumatized!
And of course I want them to thrive.
