That's how their color comes in, one day plain and dull, the next, splashes of color. His next adult molt, he will be fully colored out.

And I can't wait!

I love it when she snuggles up like this. Dandelion does sometimes, but mostly it is Buttercup. I am assuming she feels safe and comfy up there, away from the other girls.
She rides along while I rake the enclosure sometimes.

Mature wing featers coming trough! Again very random. Though I did spot a tiny "disturbance" on the other wing as well.

I've also planted some skimmia shrubs and more heather today. Hopefully the birds won't kill them straight away!

... and guess who just spotted the camera! She is utterly obsessed with the phone. I might have to put a fake one in as a perch for her, though it might clash with the rest of the enclosure.

We've had snow (or rather: sleet) coming down all day today. Very Scottish weather and absolutely horrible! The birds mostly sat huddled in the shelter but now and again they ventured out and seemed pretty blasé about it all.
I just gave them some extra feed and topped up with dry hay for their little feet. They also love foraging for seed in the hay.
