My lovely yellow goldens.

Pics
I had a lovely exchange with one of the more recent staff at the leisure centre/country club (this is where I keep the pheasants). I think it's the first time he actually stopped to poperly look at them.
Dandelion was having a moment and zoomed around the enclosure.
"So, why is that one so active? Freaky. Will they not get cold tonight?"
I spoke to him and explained some of the origin.
"Are they from CHINA?!"
"Well, the species are.."
"So, their mom then?"
😁 ❤️
I noticed Prim having a dust bath and pointed it out. Response:
"But he's getting so dirty!"

Honestly, this young man is in his twenties but just has absolutely no animal experience at all - similar dialogue continued while we spoke about the ducks and hens, the alpacas and the exotics I keep.
My goodness, we need to expose people to animals!

Today the new feather is showing properly. :)

Buttercup looks a bit tufty at the back end since the girls are bullying her some. She is simply at the bottom of the pecking order and it is such a shame, but that's why she prefers to hang out with Prim. He is actually very gentle with her.
She still gets to access food and shelter no bother though and it is nowhere close to the way she was treated when they were chicks. I am not too worried. ❤️
