I remember when the donkey in Shrek did that and I was the only one in the theater that laughed out loud.

Yeah you make that bean eating bear hugger to pay !!!

sorry couldn't help myself-

All laughing aside this really makes me upset at this mail carrier person. Even if it wasn't eggs in the box-- You don't disrespect other people's property -- especially if you are making your living as a public servant!! I I had ordered bricks in a box from ebay , don't throw my stuff -- go home throw your own stuff --respect me or face the consequences. !!!

Before we moved here, we lived in a cul-de-sac.
The USPS "worker"

( what a joke) that delivered would not deliver packages to the door. She was the absolute laziest I have ever seen.
Two times I caught her putting mail in my box while I was standing in the front yard doing yard work. I saw her, she saw me and made eye contact.
I went to the box and there was a slip telling us that no one was a home and we now had a parcel waiting at the post office.

What she did not know was that my NDN was a retired postal worker.
Needless to say, she was reprimanded and taken off the route.

Stand up for your rights.
Call them daily.
Go by the post office daily and ask to speak to the supervisor.
You will get satisfaction if you are unrelenting.:thun

Yeah i could take the peeing --That's probaly helping the grass--So that would be "green" .But throwing my eggs? OH HECK NO- Besides My granny always had a weak bladder and she peed in some really odd places when I was growing up. When she had to go , She "really" had to go!!!

Oh my word! That is completely terrible and totally uncalled for. Thank heavens my carrier takes his time coming down my driveway to deliver my packages. I've never allowed my eggs to even get into the mail carriers vehicle though. My post master always has strict instructions to call me when the eggs come in and I make a point to let them know they are eggs and to be careful with them. You need to take your pictures and your story to the post office and speak with the post master, as Chris, Cyn, and other have already stated. There really was no sense in her doing that.

I hope you are able to get some more eggs later . Have you contacted the person you got them from and told them what happened? Maybe they'll have more to send you--I 've got my fingers crossed for you. Wayne

Good luck and keep us informed, there has been a lot of good advice given by members here. his is such a good group! Your best bet is to deal direct with your Post Master.

I am fortunate, my delivery guy (Rubin) has ducks and is quite good about package deliveries. I have to go to Montpelier for live birds but they are very nice for a busy city PO. Not all Postal workers are bad.

I remember when I made my first chick order (spring 2001) the PO had special delivery people who hauled stacks of those LOUD CHEEPING boxes of new chicks to people on Sundays. They don't do that anymore, I sure miss it!

The PO can be a pain too, they moved a very good employee from the PO nearby my job because she complained about abuse from a coworker. This was a person who went out of her way to get to know each and every customer by name and at a very busy PO too. She was the first person to reach out to me when I moved to Vermont in May of 2006. Her bosses knew she didn't drive so they transfered her to a very far off PO just to inconvenience her even more. That's just cruel all the way around.

People in the town put signs on the road and took ads out in the newspaper in dismay of her being transfered and the PO ignored them. Town just isn't the same....

Well I would be at that post office early enough that I could confront her in front of the superviser. I would also be talking to the local law enforcement about her racing thru my circle drive and see if they could give her a citation for it. At the very least a warning.

I would bring the box of eggs with me to the post office and I would personally confront her with them while the supervisor was standing there. I would also bring my son with me and ask her to explain to my son why she threw the box. I delivered airborne express and I will tell you it does not take any longer to do the job the right way. I treated every package like glass and like it was mine. I am just disgusted with the service of this day in age. What happened to taking pride in your work.

I would also make sure that she knew there would be no Christmas gift as a result of this offence and that I would be letting all the neighbors know what she did. My biggest stress would be that if I ever saw her driving crazy like that again I would call the cops and see that she was cited for it. If they get tickets they lose their job. I really would call and ask the local law enforcement what could be done about her driving like a nut thru your drive.

Good luck and give your little man a hug from us and tell him how sorry we are that you all are going thru this. Then stress the importance of a job well done and done right.

Thanks everyone for your advice!!! You guys/gals are so great!!! ( and the hubby wonders why I like BYC better than T.V.). I will be at the post office in the morning. FIRST THING!!!! I will be talking to the mailwoman and the postmaster. I jsut can't even believe this really happened. It almost doesn't feel true. How can someone be so stupid??? That's really what I don't understand. What ever happened to respect??? Treat someone/ or their property as you would want yourself or your property treated???? I just don't get it!!!
