My mail lady did a drive by drop off!!!!!

Baldie, I'm really not laughing at your situation. I would be as mad as a snake myself - in fact I would probably take all those eggs BACK to the post office.
I'd SLAM them down on the counter to get some attention!

Oh, I am!!! Trust me. It's been a long day. Between myself crying and my 10 year old crying it hasn't been fun. My 4 year old slept at my mom's, so he doesn't even know yet. I obviously won't be telling him. BUt I am sure he is going to be asking. I just hope the ones that weren't smashed to pieces still grow. Thats all. I told my older boy not to get his hopes uo though. The odds are against us right now. COnsidering what the other eggs look like!

EEep.... I am soo sorry. I am glad you aren't giving up the fight. I am real scared now for my shipment of Live chicks that are supposed to go to the post office. Today, I met the postal workers at the post office of the town I just moved to and I am terrified.

*sigh* Oh boy....I am praying that someone else is on duty that day.

Good luck with your fight, Baldie! Sounds like you will prevail!

Right! My hubby says he's gonna tell the postmaster he wants a free P/O box, or a new mail carrier whichever they prefer to give us.

He is usually not the fighter, I am, but he is really mad this time. He won't let this go so we will be fighting this one together!!

This is exactly what I fear from my postman. The guy leaves people's packages sitting on top of their mail boxes rather than drive up the driveway and put them on our porch (like they are supposed to do). He's repeatedly bent photos and certificates that have come in the mail, and really pays no attention to how he crams certain things into our box. When I ordered my eggs through eBay, I called my Post Master a few days before they were supposed to arrive to let him know that I would drive the 30+ minutes to pick up my packages rather than have my postman "deliver" them. In fact, I have a small shipment coming in from Ideal in about two weeks, and I plan the same routine for that. Anything fragile or "living" I wouldn't trust my postman with. And I *have* called to report the crappy way he handles our mail. That's when he started putting our packages on top of our boxes. Before that, he would stick them in a plastic grocery bag and hang them off of the mailbox flags... sun or rain. Can't tell you how many soggy packages I've received. I hate my delivery guy. The actual office, however, is nice.

I am very sorry to hear that you went through this. I hope they pay you back for the eggs and you're able to order some more!

We were having problems with our mail delivery person a few years ago. She was leaving the mail hanging out of the boxes, I believe, to signal her friends to break into the boxes as the mail was in there. We were having frequent break-ins, even the locked boxes were being vandalized. Anyway, I took pics of what she was doing and took it to the post office to share with post master. Next thing I knew my house had disappeared off the the delivery route and my mail was being returned to senders. I saved my evidence, as my mom and friends would send me stuff then collect it for me when it came back. I took my evidence to the p.o. and again spoke to the post master...short story, long.....the mail delivery woman is off the route. We have a new delivery person who puts mail in the box and my house magically appeared on the route again so I once again recieve my mail.
Moral, complain, you might get results, but not the results you want.

Thanks Cass! I learned my lesson this time!!! I will NEVER have something fragile delivered here again. I will be in contact with the post office. And I am sure they will remember me after this one. The worst part is Douglas has farms and stuff, so you think they would know better! It is not odd for people here to have eggs delivered. And even so, its not right.

I've already been worrying about that also today. But I am one to take pictures and have proof of everything, I just want this made right, and I don't think she should get away with it like nothing happened. She will know she made a mistake, and hopefully be a little more careful in the future!

I hope they do you right Baldie--- Don't let them slime out of it. Try to look at in a bright light maybe the carrier is just a natural born idiot and couldn't help herself-- Also if anybody is gonna order eggs or chicks never order the first week in the month. Remember this is when all the ss checks and crazy checks go out and it really gets crazy.

. The day the welfare and foodstamps come out is called "mother's day. At least that's what my god sister used to say. " I can't go nowhere tommorrow " it's mother's day. Hope everything comes well for you in the end. Wayne.
