My male is a racist. I think my beautiful tux is not going to make it.

My quail died: not the tuxedo, one of the white ones. I guess the stress of all the change and being locked out of the run to separate her from the tuxedos got to her. I'm sad and feeling guilty. She was only eight months old.

They are not 'racist'. They don't even have a conception of this. They are just aggressive. Racism if a human thing.

I know that, mine pick on unusual ones too. I'm just saying chickens don't have the real 'racism' complex.

The scalped tuxedo decided to pose for the camera, so I uploaded it. As you can see, both of her eyes are open. She still tears up more than usual, but she has a lot of spunk and energy. She even protects the shy tuxedo roo from the territorial white hens. (My first hatch, including the white birds, turned out extra bold.)
