these neighbors of mine have threatened to set fire to my house. slam a brick in the face of every male member of my house ad to set 3 of his female family members to break my neck and i'm disabled. I just bought this house and am in the process of renovating. The thing is they don't want us to live here because they act like complete fools and we wont put up with their crap. so they use any excuse to be problematic. they don't want us to be happy here. they want us to move. they have even made the statement--- sell your house and move... yet they only rent.. like i'm going to do what they tell me. hah let's just say see you in court. please every one keep all the good advice coming in. I'm compiling laws and regulations from other states and am going to try to work with the city to comply to keep my girls. I wanted 4 but only have 2. thanks for taking the time to write me and give any advice possible

well i went to the city council meeting well prepared, had the pres at my house not knowing he was the pres of the council. he was on my side and the only advice he gave me was to have a copy of the papers I showed him for all the members and present my case as I did to him. I was so nervous that I don't remember what i said except that I had undivided attention from the whole board. he called to say that he would call again. today the board of Health and Animal control visited my house while I was gone. supposedly they ohhh'd and awww'd so I guess i'm on my way to being happy. Keep up the good advise and if your interested I'll make sure that the paper work I presented is posted here. To be sure all the information I used except 2 lines ; I got FROM HERE. thankyou everyone for your help. I will keep u posted.

In the country it's quiet is because there isn't TRAFFIC noise... but instead you get animal noise... it's a tradeoff... DUH.

I agree, if this jerk's been messing with everyone then everyone should band together to get rid of him. Witnesses, other than you and DH, to his harassing behavior can testify and you can maybe get a protective order... maybe? Start calling on any violation of his... basically, just protect yourself.

Just curious, but did you call the law office and ask to speak to the attorney who sent this letter? A consultation is free for some, but to actually do ANY work (and even one measly letter is work) there's a charge. Do you think this guy is willing to pay that, just to be annoying? Or could he have just made this letterhead and mailed it himself? It's really not hard to make a letterhead, Word does it for you. Considering how nuts he sounds I would consider that a possibility and at least call the law office to make sure it exists and that they know the letter was sent. If he pulled a name out of the phone book and sent it himself they might appreciate knowing about it.

You say they are renter? Get a hold of the property owner and let them know what is going on (especially the threats), I don't think they will like being held responsible (since they have been notified of the threats and let them stay).

^ Good point. Right about now we (neighbors) are all wishing we'd written down the number to the management company that handles the house next to us. Within the first couple days the blinds were trashed (doesn't effect us but owner might care), then the dogs ate through the fence on the West side and escaped, eventually they were returned. Now they're eating through the fence on the East (OUR) side... and it's not our fence, it's that owner's fence so there isn't squat we can do really unless they come through THEN we can call in At Large. Stupid heeler stuck his head through and ate my rosemary plant. *growl* Oh and after only one month one of the renters moved out and someone else moved in... clearly not on the original lease. Think they might want to know that (so they won't renew!!) but no way to contact them.
