My mille fleur bantams question

I have 2 ..3 week old mille fleur bantams
I think on might be a roo
I look at them and there is a few slight differences in looks

Could it be because one might be male or is one not actually a mille fleur

This one has bigger boots and a lot more of the Carmel looking color

And this one has a lot less or the Carmel color smaller boots and a different marking on her head

I would wait until they feather in more to be sure. The second may not be a d'uccle, which is the breed. Millie fleur is the color. D'uccle come in multiple colors.

I cannot tell what comb type the second one has, nor if it has muffs?

The hatchery I got them from only has the d`uccles in Miller fleur and porcelain.
I hatched them myself got the eggs as a bantam assortment

They are both D'uccle. With hatchery stock, the colors can vary. Sometimes they come out with a lot of black, like our second one, wo fewer spots. I had one like that. Or,they can be orange, with lots of white spots and some black. Roosters can be very colorful.

Your first chick appears to be a cockerel.

Wait a couple weeks on the other.

Chicks of the same color variety can easily vary in appearance. In Mille Fleur d'Uccles, it's not an indicator of gender, being that they're not sex-linked.

Given #1 has such a prominent comb already, I'm also voting cockerel.

I was hoping no roos but. I hatched5 eggs and knew i wouldn't be lucky enough to get all ladies

I had white bearded d'uccle and he turned out to be a tiny devil. He started out sweet
But i am not going to think all roos are like that
He he one of the more mellow ones of the 5 I hatched
