my minature horse

What's the disease were the miniature has the runs? She has a horse that has this but only this one.

There are a lot of conditions that can cause a horse to have diarrhea or other stool problems. Are you asking because you were told what the horse has and have just forgotten or because the horse is showing signs of illness and you are trying to figure out what could be causing it?

Some of the pictures aren't too clear, but it looks like all your neighbor's fencelines are good woven wire field fence. They should be perfect for containing your minis, and you could really save some money by using those fencelines as two sides of your mini's pasture fence. Definitely worth discussing with your parents so Xenia's "home" can be bigger than 16x16. .

Yea expesally since we might be getting to minis. 16x16 would be torcher. My siblings are mad I might be getting minis. That's why mom and dad haven't said yes. :( or at least that's what there telling me. So now I have to go back and see what I'll need to double up on if we get two.

Just keep in mind that the old mare will likely not be able to be fed as cheaply as Xenia. I'm thinking you need to include some Senior feed and hay cubes in your budget... Maybe 2 lbs of Senior feed and 2lbs of cubes per day (maybe less, hard to know until you've fed it for a month or so). So a 50 lb bag of each would last her 25 days or so.

Your property looks wonderful for grazing them on, which would eliminate the need for hay from mid-April to mid-October or so. That will be a big money saver and incentive for building them an actual pasture vs. only a "dry lot". You will still need a dry lot, though, because you might find that Xenia gets too fat on all that grass and needs to be locked off it for part of the day.
