My mom's HOME from surgery now...

Ladies, get your exams!



That is the biggest thing to up on. Even with my younger age, I get mammo's about yearly because of the direct relationship. They may not be any fun, but they can save a life.

My 13 yo just had to write a short essay and picked Susan G Koman to write about. Even her young age and she knows what is in store for her in the years to come.


I am so glad to hear that your mom is home and doing well for now even with the pain. Remember to give her some hugs from all of us here thinking about her!!

Well, it's been 10 days now, and we're still staying with Mom most of the time. She has 5 drains that are still in and needing to be emptied several times a day. Half of them are coming out of her back, so she can't reach them by herself. I've barely been home, and neither has my sister--we're taking turns being here, me the first half of the day, her the second, and spending alternating nights.

Also, my husband broke two ribs earlier this week, so couldn't do the farm chores or much else--that was a rough couple of days.

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. We will all be REALLY glad when these drains can come out. I know that Mom will be a million times more comfortable!
