I had forgot about them, well it will be exciting going through another hatch with you, just hope these all make it. Yep easy for me to say not my eggs.

Just kidding I really do wish you the best with this next batch. Any news on anyone interested in the ones you have now or have you even tried yet?
I've been a lazy bugger, need to get some ads put up before they aren't so cute.

If you have the room might as well keep them all.

boy I could never let my girls go hog wild on brooding I'd be over run with ducks. Which isn't a bad thing if you have room for them all. I would sure miss my dh though.

the other one is not telling you know who many are out there. I hope you can find these lil ones some good homes.

I have 40 peafowl, won't even try to guess at the number of Muscovies, quackers or chickens, lol.

Best not to know sometime. 40 peafowl? wow I be that can get noisy at times. lol

you said you have a sick drake how is he doing?
Of the 40 only 5 are males of breeding age and they're pretty quiet right now.

The sick drake died and it's all my fault as I wasn't very proactive in treating him. It's a case of too little, too late.

On a cheerier note, just candled and numbered the 15 eggs from nest, two are bad, egg #11 might be dead and the other 12 look viable, but at different stages of incubation, so we'll see what happens. So we're down from 17 (not including the cracked egg) to 13.

So sorry about the drake do you have any idea what was wrong with him? and 13 is good, or is the more the merrier more to your liking.

I suspect he had some sort of bacterial infection in the intestines and he lost too much weight before I could treat him. It's hard to keep track of all of them when they free range 'cause they'll hide in bushes when they don't feel well.
