My Muscovies are trying to pip - Pictures

I have an Arcom 20 and I set the humidity to max, which is 70%. I also have a second hydrometer/thermometer. It was humid enough that I could see condensation on the lid. Problem is, both meters read the same in the 45-50% range, but when I set to 70% the Arcom display never goes above 65% and the internal one reads 85%, so not sure where it was.

Wetting the membrane was the first thing I did and I kept it as wet as possible, plus I filled the the space around it's body with saline and kept it sitting upright like this:

I have candled the remaining eggs, and I'm afraid I'm going to lose them as the one that had pipped internally yesterday died. Upon inspection it hadn't fully absorbed it's yolk.

I set it back down to 45% because #2 finally absorbed it's yolk. Not sure what to do about the remaining eggs as they seem like they haven't lost enough weight yet. In hindsight I should have weighed all of them and adjusted my humidity based on that. I'm sure you've all heard this before, but I have no problems with chicken chicks, lol... peafowl and now ducklings, that's another story.

Here they are:

I will give both a drop of the poultry vitamins that I have unless you think polyvisol is better, but I'd have to go get that later today. Once the second one has fluffed up I will move them both to a more appropriate brooder.

Any suggestions about what to do with the remaining eggs would be appreciated!

Don't mean to jump in where not needed but I always give my lil ones a bit of Poultry Nutri Drench when first hatched to give them a boost.

OMG, he is sooo cute.. Standing all Tall, OK everything looks good, now to wait until those others begin. I have a feeling those others are a few days later.. So you will have to take MR. show offer out, HOWEVER ducks do not like to be alone so you may want to find a stuffed animal or if you have a chick handy that will work. He shouldn't swim for 1 week so keep the water low for him. He'll probably stand in it which is OK as long as he can dunk his entire body in it.. He's adorable and I'm sorry to hear about the other one, we should have paid more attention to him. Shame on me....

No, not shame on you! I'm a realist and I know that the navel area is the perfect path for bacteria to enter. There are other things, too... These two sets of eggs were laid during record cold temps and then the hens left the nests, plus the one that just died was a smaller than average egg, so I believe it wasn't meant to be. I am sad, but I'm also relieved as now I won't have to worry and play nurse maid to a sickly duckling. Don't get me wrong, those here that know me know that I will try everything to keep sick birds alive.
