Dachshund literally means "badger dog" and they were designed and bred in Germany to chase a badger down it's hole,.. gotta be mean and tuff to do that! Humans breed dogs for good purposes,.. silly men let them kill their neighbors chickens,.. I hope that man moved already and she has new nice neighbors.

I am sorry for your loss too,..I have a neighbor that lets his big dogs roam the neighborhood and I already have a whole dug in the woods for the day they ever dare into my chicken yard,.. it's built like a fortress,.. but BYC has taught me to never assume my girls are safe.
