I have always loved chickens, since I was a little girl. I'm 65 now and my husband agreed I could get no more than 5 ...and 5 years ago I got 5 baby 3 day old Rhode Island Reds. Today I have only two left. Here's my situation. I want to get 5 more chicks but my next door neighbor hates them. My two Reds go over to visit her black lab everyday and she says they dig up her hostas. My question is this.....how do I discourage them from going to her house when they free range? I don't like to keep them in their run every day. I feel they need to explore and have fun. I respect my neighbors plants and don't want her to keep nagging me everyday! Is there something, a powder or something that I could buy her that she could put around her hostas to discourage my girls from eating her hostas? Thanks for your help.
