My New Barn

It's looking great Michelle!

Look into the doors from Foy's pigeon supply. I have been using mine for over 2 years now without a single issue. I change the batteries on it once a year, just for my own peace of mind.

good stuff, we just move into our new property, we also build a barn, the front will be turned into pigeon lofts, the inside are storage, chick room, and hospital area.

Today, we have walls!

The first layer of siding is all the way around. Tomorrow they will finish the upper level and start on the roof trusses.

You can sorta see the gap in the siding where the light is shining through, that's because there is no framing behind that space. That will be a pair of doors that will open wide enough to let me pull my 6-wheeler in for mucking out the dirty litter.

It's fun to just stand in there and look around and realize this is my new chicken house.

I would have been happy with something much smaller but my dear H2B is a true Alaskan, if he's going to do something he's going to do it big. Plus we have lots of space and many really harsh winter months where being inside is necessary.

And he's a sucker for a pretty face.....

This is his Gæla (pronounced GUY-la) It means to pet or cuddle. This girl is so friendly she will literally fly on to your shoulder just for pets.
She's got him wrapped around her - um - finger (if she had one)

And here's another gratuitous scenery pic, just cause I can

Michelle, Really? Do you have to post pictures like this? Just kidding. I love them. We have a beautiful view of the mountains from our house and I never want to leave in the morning. I can't even imagine if I had that view to look at!

So, so happy for the rapid development on your barn. How exciting!! It looks awesome.
