Michelle, Love the whole project...have been following progress since day one and the beautiful location shots!. You and your family are very fortunate. Only thing i see recently that I would have figure on when spending this much effort and money is the outside lightnig placement. I would have wired everything form the inside and not have ridgid and flex conduit feeding light over door and ones over windows on long side. Not trying to be critical, just feel estetically would have looked better. Sure it was an after thought and was the only way to do at that point. Amazing job. Keep pics coming.

Thanks Erik, but the electrical wasn't an afterthought. It was planned that way. See, we had a contractor build the barn, and my BIL is our electrician. Rather than having the contractor pause in the building process so Michael could come in and run conduit, we just stayed out of the way and let the contractor finish. THEN we ran the conduit

I wanted the outlets above the windows as this reduces the possibility that the birds will play in the outlets and once the pop doors get plugged in the plugs will also be out of reach so the birds can't unplug them (a lesson learned in the previous coop) The outlets on my side are down where I can reach them.

I have more pictures to post and we just got some gill net to stretch over the runs. Our turkeys are finding all sorts of escape routes from their pen inside. They are going over the netting 12' off the ground

We may have resolved the issue (knock on wood) time will tell...

What a wonderful barn, and the pup is adorable. I love seeing that initial sketch that someone does, and then the progress pictures all the way to the chicken move in day. Just wonderful!

I bet they are loving their new home. I hope no issues have cropped up. You planned it all so well.

Well today we hatched the first chicks in the barn. What a great way to usher in the new year.

The coldest I saw today was -12*F, It's been snowing for days, I think 10 straight now, which actually is kinda rare. Generally it only snows when it's above zero, but the constant snowfall gave us a wonderful white Christmas.

This is what it looks like to walk out to the barn today.

It is so beautiful and Alessandro (our Maremma) is completely comfy out in the sub zero temps.

Look what he's guarding
