there is a good chance, that after one year sitting through the weather, those plywood boards will be warped more than a bow- the nails will pull out, and as a result won't be much more than a pile of peices that used to be parts of trees. Especially if you don't paint it, or stick something else on it/ over it to protect it...

quite simpily.. without putting more money into it, 'fraid you only have a very temporary shelter for you birds.

The top is painted to shed rain for now the rest of out side will get painted.
it is all put together with tight bond glue and dry wall screws 2x4 's are treated lumber.
So I think it will be around for a few years.
The man that give me the plans has one that is just like mine
it is 11 years old now.
I HAVE ANOTHER OUT BUILDING THAT IS BUILT WITH THE OSB BOARD AND PAINTED
IT IS 19 YEARS OLD NOW AND STILL IN GOOD SHAPE.
SO YOU CAN SEE I AM NOT WORRIED ONE BIT.

well I guess if you're in Oklahoma... and never get rain or snow...

but then again, if you never get either of those... do your birds even need shelter?

The birds need a shelter to lock them into at night for protection from predators - it doesn't matter where you live.
