Well if your new chickens are sick and it’s a communicable disease then all wound be exposed. Watch them and pray. Check the new ones over. Head to toe. Front to back. Feather loss can happen for a number of reasons. If there’s bullying going on separate them. You might want to do this anyways.
To incorporate new birds to an existing flock. You need to keep them in a area that the other birds cannot be around at all. Good hand washing even changing your shoes (because you carry poop from one coop to another). But we’re past that point this time.
Do a slow careful exam. See what the skin looks like.
Antibiotic ointment would not hurt if they have irritation. Just notice we’re both in Nevada
