My new chicks and new property thread!

Got our new horses and they're settling in well. The Grulla(grey) filly is 14 months old, we are thinking of a name. She was not trained at all. Couldn't be touched. She's been here two weeks and I can pet her. Feed her by hand and thanks to the new round pen hubby bought for me I got a halter and lead rope on her.

absolutely love that coloring.

Awe thanks! Me too! It's my absolute fave color. I love grey and on a horse that purplish grey, tan, Black mix just makes me melt. I've always wanted a horse this color and when she came up for sale hubby did everything he could to get her for me then we found out the guy had a paint mare that was just what hubby was looking for so we made a package deal!

Beautiful!!! I want horses, at least one. I want to go riding again so badly!!!! I miss riding so much and the last time I rode, I fell off. I was 18 and I didn't have the chance to get back on b/c I had to leave town the next day.
It was a friend's stallion I was helping her train. Such is life, I guess. Maybe, one day, I'll live near ppl who had horses and like me and I can "exercise" them. =D

Yay!!! for first egg!!! :cd
Awww!!!!  I kind of want Guineas, but I can't have them roaming all over the neighborhood.   Someone would probably shoot them for dinner or sport or something.

We have a 4 acre yard that's all no climb fencing so they can roam with my rooster posse. I have 3 roosters and 2 hens that free range the yard and I think the guineas will enjoy living with them. I will let you know how it goes.

thanks! I've wanted horses forever also and I've always wanted a grulla so I am in heaven. I feel like I'm living in a dream. Hubby is so good to me, everything is like a fairy tale. He is constantly spoiling me and a suprising me with things. I am so blessed and happy! I am trying to think of a name for her, so if you have any ideas let me know!
