That is a really cool looking coop! Love the design. It is nice looking for a chicken coop.

I agree with the wire though, where we live we need the smaller wiring and yes wiring is very expensive!

If it were me, I would of insulated it because with the insulation it would keep them warm in the winter and keep them cool in the summer. We have some coops insulated and they are cooler during the heat of the day and the chickens will go up into the top during that heat. They are of course warmer during the winter for them as well. They have vents at the top and they are still warm/cool. We had to cover the insulation and it made the cost go up for supplies. I do have some coops that are not insulated and it will be interesting to see how that goes this winter.

The sand is good and later when the grass has all been scratched up you may end up putting sand in the whole run.

You did well and did it in a short time frame.
