Hi PlumTuckered!

I expect you thought I wasn't around anymore... well here I am, it took me ages to find your post and I am so pleased that you have some Muscovy chicks... they are so cute!

I have had some problems here with missing duck/goose issues and all I can say is that one day Scooter will come home... to see all of the activity that has evolved since she went to hatch her flock - congratulations on your new arrivals - you deserve as much happiness as is possible for anyone!!!

I'm head over heels in love with these lil boogers. It only took 2 days for them to get used to my voice and touch which surprised me with them living wild with their duck Mamma for the first week. I still have them in the brooder here beside my crafting table and laptop in the evening/night, during the day they are in an outside brooder that I rigged up for them. After supper I carry the indoor brooder out and they get so excited when they see it LOL They've grown so much it's not funny! So far I have 3 names Cocoa, Willow and Bleenie. Still can't quite tell their sex yet but I figure it won't be long with all of this growth.

Suzie..from your lips to Scooter's ears!!! I'm not giving up hope on her. I'm sorry you've been dealing with missing feather babies, I haven't been on much to read the past week, we've been building a new duck house. I'll have to go read and catch up.

I Can't express how happy I am that you have the babies....

My story was kept from you deliberately... I had to deal with issues when my Guardian goose " Boss " was killed - it was a terrible time for me - my remaining geese are in conflict with one another since his untimely death, I didn't want for you to know about "Boss" - I miss him terribly and always will - his demise was listed as " Boss, An Honourable Death" I am still so very proud of him - he defended the other geese... I will never forget him..... however, not wishing to linger on the issue, I am so pleased for you that fortune has found you....

I am (as always) convinced that Scooter will be home with you.... you are such a wonderful Mum ( MOM ) that any of your flock will always want to be with you.....

More pictures PLEASE of those chicks....!!!

They struck it lucky, coming to live with you as you are obviously going to shower them with love and affection.

OH Suzie, bless your heart! I just found your post about Boss...your post has me in tears. My heart is breaking for you!
Having these scovie babies really is helping, they are starting to do that scovie sing-song trill and it's music to my ears and heart. I hope hope hope that your babies can help you too. I'm sending you many gentle virtual hugs Honey!!

Here are a couple of photos...the duck house that my Husband and I just finished building:
