EEEEEEEEE hee hee, me too. That would have been so cute to capture on film.I wish I had a pic!
That is so cute watching them get the flies. They are so quick. They are growing quickly. But are very cute no matter their size.Since the weather has warmed up they have been enjoying flies for a snack.![]()
Thank you! I love watching them grow to see what their adult feathering will be.That is so cute watching them get the flies. They are so quick. They are growing quickly. But are very cute no matter their size.
So stinkin' cute. That's funny that they hop out and don't wanna be held. But they need to realize that being so cute requires that they allow you to hold them.I am amazed at how much these guys are growing. They are getting in their feathers and looking rather ragged. I can now see the deep green in Java Joe's tail feathers. I couldnt get a good pic of them though. I have to be careful with their pen right now as they get a little riled up and run around crazy then some of them hop out and of course do not want to be held to be put back in. And of course, I am not wearing any gloves so my hands have been pretty torn up by their pterodactyl claws!
Here are just a few pics. I have not been able to get them outside yet as it was difficult to try to catch them. I am going to get a pet carrier as that should make it easier to at least catch and put one at a time in it, while closing the door (with the door facing up of course). As well, we have been working on a chicken coop (next the duck house). So, the time is short in the evenings to try our hand at duckling wrangling.

You're welcome. Java Joe will be interesting to see since now you are getting glimpses of his feathering now. Muscovy adults certainly have gorgeous feathers and sheen.Thank you! I love watching them grow to see what their adult feathering will be.
I have been able to briefly pick up Mocha and Blossom. Those two seem the most tame, but Java Joe was not having it and I never get to try much with Beanie. She is shy.So stinkin' cute. I'm glad you can pick up Mocha and Blossom. And it's interesting how shy sweet Beanie is. It's fun their personalities are so different. I can picture Java Joe running away at top speed.I have been able to briefly pick up Mocha and Blossom.
