My new muscovy ducklings!

Pics
Attempted to get the pups ducks out into the yard. In order to do so they have to go through the shed. Well, this is a totally new experience for them. Very leery. See the bill under the door? That is Blossom. She was definitely investigating the open door and why it was left open. :D I tried to entice them for about 40 min (even ignored them). Then, I had other things to do. This will be a process.

Well change isn't something they go for, I can understand I don't like it either. But when they find out what fun is awaiting them they will be standing at the door waiting for you to open it.

They already look at the door when they see me coming. Ducks are smart for sure. So, yeah, I can't wait for them to be excited to get out in the yard. Then, I will be the apprehensive one trying to get them back into their run! Lol

The last 2 days have been pretty hot - like July weather for us. So, got out a few extra waterers today. They have also been treated to frozen ice cubes and blueberries as well as ice cubes.
While working out there, I opened up the divider and the ducks went to the chicken side. The chickens weren't too happy and huddled under the coop. While on the chicken side, the crew tried out the ramp, ate from the chicken feeder, and sullied the fresh water (that I had to refresh before shooing them back to their side).
I would have left the divider open, but the muscovies were stressing out the chickens and they don't need more stress on such a hot day.
14 weeks tomorrow!

I must of missed something?...Why can't you block it so they can't see each other?..I'm confused...
