My new quail project

New advances of my project. The big cage is almost ready, there are small details like the final feeders and waterers and the night houses.
The bath sand is ready.
Today at afternoon i let them to go out, they were really happy. Now all the holes are closed so I'd seen no problem. And the sick one looks a little better.

Now it's finished! I added the final details and looks ready. Need only to wait them to start laying.
I have a question friends, is better to give them regular style food or is better pellets? I build an automatic feeder, so i think it will be more succesful with pellets, but your recomendations will be decisive.

Wow, they are so cute! I don’t know much about quails except that the wild ones around my neighborhood and in my yard are absolutely adorable! We have California Quails, even though we are in Canada!!!

Their enclosure looks amazing, I only wish my coop/run were as giant and awesome as that!!!!

I would assume the pellets, but you might want a more quail experienced member to answer that one...

Here more photos of a really stupid idea I had haha.
I did some improvised nests. I now there is almost impossible to get them broody or laying eggs in nest. Anyway, because of the pen size and the good conditionament I have a little of faith.
One thing is clear, they love it!

Oh, aren't they cute! I'd have thought they'd just step on the nests and flatten them, but it's really cute that they are actually using them.

Hi!! they're not yet, they are like 1 month old, so i think they will need like 2 or 3 weeks more.
