My Silkie rooster only crows once or twice when I let him out in the morning and he's quiet for the rest of the day.

My roo Mr. Darcy only crows maybe 5 times during the entire day, max. Best rooster. Love it.
Your roo might not be much of a talker.

My boys are at it all day. I love it.
I walk around carrying them and they crow while I'm holding them. They sit on my lap, and crow in my ear.
They aren't very good singers.
