Oh, I'm sure that wasn't all of it. Been getting shipped chicks often enough to know that. But if they weren't real strong to start with, and then the bigger chicks kinda tromped on them, that could have an effect too. That's the only reason I even mentioned the size difference. I'm just grateful that the shipment only took 3 days to get here - at least I got to try to save them. If it had been delayed a day, they would have most likely been DOA.My speckled Sussex and salmon Faverolles were especially tiny. Half the size of the others and one SS and sf were half the size of those, so 1/4 the size of the others. So I don't know that it is all about the breeds.
The second one died about 10 minutes ago. All of the rest of the chicks are thriving.
