Hello! Next month I will be getting some White Crested Black Polish chicks. I figured that I will take you all on my journey of raising them. I will be building a coop (well, cleaning it out.) I look forward to taking you all on my Polish journey.

You trim weekly? I have a 12 week old golden laced polish and haven't trimmed her yet. I can still clearly see her eyes. Now im wondering if I should be trimming. Im just so nervous to do it. I don't want to hurt her! She's already endured some rough initiation from my hens.

Are you talking about a breeder? I'm just curious to know!

It's a "small business". The lady hatches most of them, but works with other breeders too. (I just looked it up )

I wanted to get blue polishes! I don’t know where I could get them. These are my first ones too.

We are getting ours from a local place. I am pretty sure they hatch the chicks themselves

Do they ship them to other states?

I don't think so. This is my first time buying from them. I will be driving there and picking the chicks up in March.

My white crested black polish from Meyer's was the first one to lay an egg! Oreo is a trip! She's fiesty and funny. Middle of the pecking order but not nasty to the other chickens lower than her.

This is her up on the roost next to my Barnevelder.

And the first egg. She's been a steady every day/every other day layer since she started laying in December.
