My Present from the USPS

Quote:
I see where you said that you got Button Quail in the mail. You do know that in NC you are required to have a Game Bird Propagation License to have ANY type of game birds and that does include quail. Also I think there is more paperwork that is involved to "import" eggs into the state. You might want to check that out....quickly.

Thank you, Sharon. I am aware of the game bird law.

I forgot, also on my egg boxes :
"DO NOT XRAY", "DO NOT EXPOSE TO COLD OR HEAT", "PLEASE PROTECT FROM COLD /FREEZING TEMPS" .

And if the postal workers disregard the warnings, I hope I've packaged the eggs to withstand everything short of running it over the truck. I know I've done all I can do when a box of eggs leaves here.

I am so sorry about your eggs. I hope the ones I sent came to you in a lot better shape. I hope the ones that survived shipping make it all the way through hatching. Take care, dave27889

Sorry about the mess. I agree that I would not blame the USPS in this case. In all my shipping eggs all over, I've only had one to be broken and he said it looked like the box in that area had been poked really hard with something like pencil. Proper packing can mitigate much of what the USPS does with the box, short of being run over by a semi, like Dipsy said. Hope the remaining ones hatch!
