My problem duck!

Can you give her some turmeric and or fish oil? Possibly ibuprofen? All 3 of those will decrease inflammation and make the prolapse smaller. If she were mine, I would want her inside and away from flies until it’s all better. Is she laying? Do you think the other spots could be ingrown feathers?

How much fish oil or ibuprofen should I give her? She's not laying yet. I hadn't thought about ingrown feathers...I don't know what that would look like

Yes post a pic and keep the flies away. If she has a prolapse that needs to be lubed up with honey or coconut oil. And tried to get back inside you don’t want that tissues to dry out.
Or preparation h. I would be afraid to use the honey right now considering the flies. Even indoors .. If you do get a few flies in there the honey might attract them.

Today's update: Winifred is not very active today. No more flies or maggots and the skin on her tail is looking better. But she won't eat. And I think she threw up during her bath. I was able to get nutridrench in her. She is at least drinking. Any idea how often she should be getting the nutridrench??

Her vent doesn't look much better. I did cut some of the feathers around her vent. And I used coconut oil on it. That's all I had on hand. My daughter is going to run to get children's ibuprofen when the stores open since I have to go to work.

She is not doing well I can see. Poor lil one. The prolapse looks to be dried out is that what your seeing? Or is that dried poop? Just keep doing what your doing. As for the nutria drench put some in her water also that way every time she takes a drink she'll be getting some if she is still drinking? Other than supportive care that is about all you can do. Other than a vet. We sure understand that isn't always feasible.

Keeping her warm is very important when they are sick too.

The prolapse is dried out. I really had no idea what to do with it until it was too late.
