My leghorn is usually very good about avoiding being handled and that's fine. Yet recently she's became very friendly and when I went to touch her she went into a squat like freeze. I am concerned because its outside her normal behavior. This is my first flock so I am no expert lol but I kno all my girls behaviors

:lau :welcome Most of us are confused at some time or other .I'd be looking for eggs . This is a good time of year to have them start laying . You should have eggs most of the winter. I have 30 week old pullets that have gone broody already :barnie . Hopefully yours won't because it's late in the season. It looks like you've done a good job so far. :thumbsup

Don't worry, that's normal. That's her way of submitting to you as the dominant chook. If you were a rooster the hens would behave the same. This is actually ideal behavior and all of my gals but my dominant do it.

Ok. Good to know. I have a 9 and 8 week silkie and just looking for signs of their sex.
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/hands-on-hatching-and-help.1081034/ lots of silkie folks on this thread post some pics and they can help. Also when you go into a thread go to the last page so your in on the ongoing conversation. you can allways read from the beginning when you have time . some of the threads go back to the beginning of time and are thousands of post long .

I am still trying to figure my flocks sexs out too. My leghorns were easy to tell my others not so much lol
If your avatar is your flock I don't see any cockerels. But post some pictures and we can help. When you post the picture from the upload it gives you two options. When that comes up and you see the picture click on full image , only on full image .If you click on the picture it loads as an attachment .
