We have 10 quail unsure of the sexes, but 5 are getting the feather picked off their head. They started breeding a few weeks ago. I'm getting about 4 eggs a day. So I'm think I have 5 female without feather on their heads. Is this from them breeding? Or can it be from to many males in the pen?
Sounds like it's time to thin out your males! Monarch's sticky at the top of the forum has info on vent sexing so you can tell which your boys and girls are.
