Good, it sounds like she is a healthy chickShe's really moving around the incubator![]()
She is absolutely fine yes all fluffy now , she did a poop on me less than 6 hours after birth . I'm so proud of myself I really am this is the first time in my life to a assist a hatch let alone a bird she is beautifulCongratulations!
How is she doing? Is she walking around now?
Photos!!
If so, put her in the brooder. Do you have a heat plate or lamp?
Provide her with water, be sure to put rocks or marbles in the dish so she doesn't drown, Quail love to get into water.
Give her Gamebird Starter to eat.
@Blue is my chicken wonderful job stepping in and giving clear instructions! Thank you!
Your welcome and yes she definitely think of you as her mum you (and what ever family live with you) are her only friend/s do try and try too find her some quail friends so she is not completely dependent on you, I had a call duckling that hatched on her own she was a week old before we found her friends and by that point she was totally dependent on me and hated when I left her in her cage, she spent most of her time with me, she followed me around and had managed to escape her cage to get to me, after we managed to find her some friends she ate more she drank more she played more and she was happy to be in her cage, it made my life so much easierI think she thinks I'm her mumshe's so adorable thankyou for all your help
