Are you talking about the j clips ? if so you can get them at most feedstores . i get mine from Bass you dont need that expensive crimper you can get one for about 8 bucks or so, you have to load it one at a time.. im not sure if this is what you are wanting or not

Pollo-The tool on your link was for rings and you can get a much cheaper tool for those as well. Hog/cage rings and j-clips both have applications in which they work better. bfrancis- I'm guessing your combination of wire sizes is what keeps the quail from poking thier heads through.

Bfrancis: I like that you use a different way of housing that works for you. What do you use for worming? I wouldn't be able to have my coturnix on ground nor outside because my land is swampy and full of predators
well they could be outside but I like having a controlled environment for data and more safety in my case.

When it rains, it floods. Although the chicken devised boats out of their food dishes, I would worry about my coturnix

Quailladyoffortmyers, Our quail house is located where no other poultry bird has ever been, so other than using Oxine to keep the area disinfected, we've not had to worm. Everyone that we've put in the freezer has been "cooty" free. We do use the apple vinegar in the water periodically, someone smarter than me has recommended it

We actually have some birds that came from you, kwartel is my DW, she's bought eggs from you in the past and I think she is going to again in the soon time.

Sorry for hyjacking this post...someone had just asked about ground vs cages
