My Quilting Projects..well, some of them (Added More Pics)

Aw, how sweet of you to say that, Kate. I was just working on a project that I'm not sure whether it's a tablecloth or a bed cover or what, LOL. It has backing, but no batting, so maybe a very light summer quilt? I made it to fit my rectangular diningroom table, but it covers the entire top of my queen size bed.

I'm trying to pick up a few hobbies that will help me concentrate more, keep my mind off of other things, give me items I can use for gifts or sell even. I've always enjoyed making things, most cooking or woodwork though, but since I've been learning to crochet and watching my friend quilt, it looks interesting and tells a story. I like the stories in the quilts I see!

Yep, lots of stories. Some of them I call "mood quilts", meaning if I was antsy or unsettled while making it, you can tell in the stitches. If I was in a bad mood, or tired, or whatever, it shows.

I like the Attic Windows pattern, but this one didn't turn out exactly right. Still, it made a decent card table cover!

Beautiful!

I wish I had the patience to hand quilt. I only hand quilted a wall hanging and all of my other quilts are machine quilted and easy stitching at that. I enjoy putting the blocks together more than the actual quilting.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE WINDOW QUILT! I think you do amazing work, don't kid yourself, you are extremely talented. I wish I could do it! I don't have the patience. My gourd lamps are enough to make me want to screma sometimes! I have started working with egg gourds as well and they are so small it takes a steady hand and more patience than I can muster some days LOL. But your quilts are absolutely gorgeous. you should think about entering them into a fair if you don't already!

Cyn....Your quilt making ability is rediculous! I see those small, incredibly even, quilting stitches and I am so envious. I just don't have the ability to do that and that makes me upset with myself because I have always wanted at least one hand quilted quilt. Thank you so much for sharing because I always love to see your work.
