My home ec teacher got me into quilting about three years ago. I've since gotten into the habit of making them for my friends. They take a lot of time, but it's soooo worth it!!!
I love your 3rd from the top! My DH has requested that I make that pattern for him a quilt for Christmas but uhm....I am super super slow when it comes to quilting so it may be next Christmas!
I tend to stick to the simpler ones....squares and big triangled blocks
Thank you so much. I'm not really that good, but I do enjoy it. I almost quit entirely when my carpal tunnel got to make it so hard--tingly then numb fingers, etc. The machine at least makes piecing a breeze.
In September I got some of my Mom's quilts from my Dad. It was interesting to see progression of her learning. She had them all dated and the name of the pattern and signed. Real keepsakes now that she is gone. Someday I will get the remainder of them when my Dad ever redecorates. I didn't have the heart to take them off his walls. They are wonderful inspirations to my daughters and I as well.
