Nope. Sex linked birds usually have some type of black tailed red as the male part of the cross and most use a RIR. So that would explain the RIR look. The bird needs another columbian restrictor to clear up the smut. Male birds that are not wheaten tend to show smut more than wheaten birds. In females that are wheaten the melanotic gene causes them to be a dark wheaten color. I have some smut showing up in my rhode island red that are not wheaten. The blues have melanotic or charcoal and other undocumented genes that add black to a chicken.
