my rant about some peoples excuses

Quote:
That is the thing that really really gets to me more than anything else - folk who move into a farming area and then complain about farm yard noises????
Like were we live - we back onto a farm and so there are always animals in the back padock and it is usually cows bellowing at all hours. - So why would our next door neighbor buy a house backing onto a FARM!!!!!! And complain about chickens???????? - That is a real gem!!!!! Our neighbor threatened to call the council on us for having a ROoster - there are actually about 6 or 7 in the area and they all Roo off eachother. - We are the only ones who had to get rid of our boy!!!! Those same folk leave their Dogs howling for hours and hours!!!!!!!

I mean you wouldn't buy a house at the end of a runway and complain about the airoplanes taking off???? ( Though I guess some folk do)
This time we are keeping our Rooster - I mean there is litterally only a wooden fence between us and the back padock of the farm and if he was on the farm NO ONE Could say anything at all!!!!!!!

Oesdog - I bet you were glad that lady left - Cows to noisy???? Yeah right like they have a volume control -

I agree, best that they didn't buy.... sometimes people that indicate they don't like something can later cause problems.

We had five acre lots in our old neighborhood, and were one of the first builders who lived there for several years before anyone else moved in.

We had bee hives out in the back, in plain sight, which were not close to the property line.

One neighbor moved in and built their house right by the property line (on 5 acres!) the other neighbor built their house in the middle, like us. Although neither liked us having the bees, one of the neighbors decided to call the police because the bees "flew onto their property."

We were out in the county with no restrictions on such, it really got them nowhere.

Perhaps you should inform your bees of the NO FLY ZONE!!!!!!! that your neighbors insist on???

Thing is I wonder if they know that Bees give them honey and candle wax and also are the primary pollonator of all our fruit and vegetable crops????
I just wonder how they would cope without BEES????????????????????? There are some really ignorant and stupid people out there.

Oesdog - Keep your BEES!!!!!!!!!!!

Now there's a comment that's impossible for me to disagree with!

It's too bad so many people have had their only experience with chickens be negative. If they've only visited one chicken coop and it was owned by a neglectful owner that let it deteriorate into a disgusting, reeking mess, they don't know all coops aren't like that. If they've only visited one chicken flock and were flogged by an aggressive rooster when they were minding their own business, they're going to think all chickens are mean. Sometimes, people just don't have enough life experience to put an isolated incident into perspective.

Much better for them not to buy the house Vs buying it and then complaining about the chickens, etc. I HATE it when people move either out to the country or somewhere where they can SEE there are animals or whatever and THEN have the audacity to COMPLAIN about it. UGH!
