Shieldmaiden, it really looks and sounds like (dry) fowl pox to me. It can cause egg production to stop or become severely reduced. There is no cure for it as it needs to run its course but there are some things you can do for her and other flock members.

To treat or prevent secondary bacterial infection caused by virus you can add 1 TBS Terramycin powder to 1 gallon water. Putting a mix of sulfur powder and petroleum jelly ( 2 tsp. to 1 cup) to lesions and scabs will help soothe the affected area and keep parasites away. Also, there is a vaccine that can be given to adult birds in the flock who are not showing symptoms to slow or stop the virus from spreading.
