My RIR rooster is becoming mean!

i have 4 RIR roos and have learned not to wear sandals in the run..(my big toe has chunks taken out )! however, they attack when i first come in so i give each one a good whack on the head, then if one forgets what just happened i have a flyswatter on hand, they get too busy looking at it they forget about me...i have 1 pullet and she has nothing to do with me...i had to put a treat on a string thinggy to keep my roos from fighting..that has calmed them down alot.
