He has never shown any kind of aggression. I took some advice from others on the forum and have not "friended" him like some of my hens by hand feeding etc. It was suggested that would let him continue to see us as dominant, and so far he just walks away from us and never shows any concern even when I have to mess with one of the hens. So I would say he is well mannered but not necessarily friendly. He also seems to be very gentle with the hens, and so far I haven't noticed even a feather missing from them.
I specifically got a cochin roo because of the temperament since we often have kids running around. If he continues to be so good, I probably should get a cochin hen and hatch some. We have never hatched any and my kids would love that!
