My rooster is crowing!!!

I was going to ask a similar question. When do they start crowing? When should I expect my roos to start crowing. I have some that are almost 6 weeks old.

I read that it just depends, one of my roosters never crowed. He hasn't crowed today yet.

Our mille fleur d'uccle rooster didn't decide to start crowing until he was about 4 months old, so I guess it just depends on the individual roo.

I've heard it as early as 2 days and as old as 6 months, it just depends.

alright well i got 2 chick fro easter and the people who gave them to me told me one was a boy and one was a girl but the boy(rooster) doesn't have a comb on his beak, why? h emust be 4weeks old now,wjats going on?

MY 2 1/2 week old chick (I think he is a rooster) went through all the motions of crowing without the sound. I think he is getting ready. Stood up really tall, looked up to the sky, flapped his wings like crazy, opened his beak....and nothing came out lol.

He's too cute! I can't wait to have a rooster. I am getting 4 silkies on the 7th from Ideal, but I don't know what sex they will be.

Now that I said I want a roo, watch all 4 of them will be boys. lol
