I adopted a full grown rooster who was previously homed with 2 other roosters who would beat him up. It's been about 2 weeks since I've adopted him and placed him with my younger hens. Since I've adopted him he has not stopped crowing. He crows from about 4am till about 5pm non stop. Is this normal !? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

He's making up for lost time!
Other crowing roosters within hearing will trigger 'crow offs', as BB just mentioned.
He does need time to settle in, and then see how he does. And enjoy the crowing!
Mine start at first light too, and if he's seeing lights going by, or critters outside his coop making noise, he'll want everyone to know he's on the job.

Young adults are practicing there crow hence why there constantly crowing.

My prince did that when he was young, but at a year and half old he just crowed in the mornings and evening.

Now that he's almost 3 years old, he crows in the mornings till I let him out of the coop then he stops the rest of the morning and afternoon. Then crows 2 to 3 times in the evenings to get the hens in the coop and it's silence from then on. But that's just who he is.
