just wondering if I am insane? I currently have a 11x7 coop with 2 outside runs totaling 380 sg ft. I have 6 BR, 4 BO, 2 polish( 1 of which is a rooster), 1 silkie, and 1 japanese rooster. I just answered a ad for 20 or so free BR laying hens. Is this to much?

You have lots of space in your runs, will you split the coop in two? Might be crowded for the new 20- remember about quarantine to protect your flock. [IMG]

Did they say why they were giving the birds away for free? I mean, I've just finished reading some horror stories here about conditions some backyard "breeders" kept their birds in. [IMG] It would be terrible if you got saddled with diseased or neglected, unhealthy birds.
