Rails are a bird native to Australia and surrounding Islands (prob other close by places too) These are buff banded rails. They are a swamp bird very shy in the wild and although common are rarely seen (in most places anyway) These guys tho cause hand raised are not so shy, and are loads of fun!!!! Attached is a pic of an adult.
