Hello, this is my first post on this website; I have searched the web to find nothing. My serama rooster of around 2 years was not mating at all, he’s a small micro serama I picked up for 50$, I even give him 2 females although not to his height I believe is still breedable, they are still serama but are not micro sized like him. My other serama rooster does well mating with the others but this guy just wont breed with the hens. Can somebody help?

Him with the hens alone or is the other rooster houses with them too?

Is he healthy?
Have you checked for mites and lice? Is he active, eating and drinking?

If all the above checks out, then I'd start looking at other factors. As RememberTheWay said, is he housed with any other males? How long has he been with these females? Has he accepted them and just won't mate, or does he reject them altogether?

Are you sure he isn't mating when you're not watching? Some boys like their privacy. Have you checked fertility to confirm that the eggs are not being fertilized?

Welcome to BYC!
Are the hens older than him? Is the other rooster with them? It's often not about size, it's about pecking order.
Good luck, keep us updated, and we'd love to see photos....

He’s with the hens alone he doesn’t even do a mating dance yet the hen is always following him, and the hen isn’t acting in any way aggressive to him to.

I have a camera near them and they haven’t bred yet he didn’t even start doing a mating dance yet he assumes being head rooster while the hen isn’t aggressive to him in any way

I have a year old bantam trio, and I have never seen the little rooster mate with either of the 2 hens. Yet, their eggs are fertile.
