Baytril is probably the best antibiotic to treat almost anything, gram positive or gram negative organisms.

Thanks. Not foaming anymore. Still a discharge from mouth after it eats. I have only given Baytril 2 doses so far no change yet. I have found some great critical care omnivore supplement I had for my goose. It is packed with many vitamins and timothy grass and so on. I just started that tonight too. Last thing I still haven't given it is electrolytes. I will get tomorrow. I am trying to figure out how to give the fishzole. And if its ok along with Baytril. I wonder if I dissolve it and q-tip it directly on the spots in mouth if that do anything? Its skin around beak and eyes is starting to peel a bit and looks whitish from washing it daily.. I'm a lil worried. I'll post a couple pics tomorrow. Thanks for following this.Maybe post more pictures tomorrow. I feel so sorry for this little chick. Has the foaming in the mouth stopped? I just wish it's nostrils were open. Have you seen any response with the Baytril yet? The Fishzole may really help too if it has canker. With it's history of getting pecked as a chick, it's kind of hard to guess what is the main problem. Hope the chick can hang in there.
how is he this morning? better? turning brown might indicate the growth is dieing, which i guess is good? hope he's doing well,![]()
Thanks. Wow I thought salt killed birds! Tells ya what I know, lol. Pictures coming in a bit its eating now.I PM'd Casportpony (thought I had done that 3 days ago, but didn't) since she has used those drugs before. Below is a recipe for homemade electrolytes, but many poultry supplements already contain them:
HOMEMADE ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION
1/2 teaspoon salt substitute*
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon table salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 gallon water
