I have been following your posts with interest. Your saga has prompted me to get up to speed on my chicken medicine cabinet since to get any medications here we have to mail order and delivery is a 3 day minimum. I noticed you caught the problem early, and treated right away. I went ahead and ordered the basics to have on hand.

I also noticed the bit about the covered run. I am thinking that if there is one thing I need to do it is to maintain a clean, dry, winter run. I have noticed rain is blowing in from the sea side of my coop, and muddying the run. I put down playground sand, and I may put up clear plastic panels on that side to keep out the weather.

Hi thanks for your reply. I wish I could let them free range, but my Dad put it in my head that the Hawks will get them. I would hate for that to happen. They are my babies.
