My 'silkie' eggs from Ebay

I emailed the seller and he got back to me today and totally lied.

Here's what his Ebay ad said:

20+ silkie hatching variety of colors white, blu, splash, buff and black not sure what is what my silkies are free range and I have hens laying on top of other hens nest I actually have two black hens setting in the same box one white hen just hatched out 8 blu chicks 3 days ago my roo's are white and splash also just to be warned the temp here has been in the lower 40's I do not except refunds do to factors out of my control ex. broken eggs, humidity, your own equipment there are to many factors thanks and happy bidding I also have two little giant incubators with turners for sale message me if interested. Only except paypal.

Here's what he said he put in the description
i am so sorry however they def. were silkie eggs i guess there was a cross that i wasnt aware of also i did mention in my description in the very first line (20+ silkie hatching variety of colors white, blu, splash, buff and black not sure what is what my silkies are free range and I have hens laying on top of other hens nest my chickens are free range) i just had a clutch of eggs hatch 4 out of six 3 silkie and 1 came out with yellow leggs four toes and feathers on its feet.

I guess he forgot that I can go back and look at the actual Ebay ad.

I don't understand liars....especially on something like this when, in 21 days or so days the proof is gonna hatch anyway.

I also had 4 dead in shell that died a few days before lockdown and I opened them....three were carbon copies of the two that lived, and one was black, yellow legs, 4 toes, light skin. I wonder if this guy even has silkies.

Did you pay with paypal? 2 words...BUYER PROTECTION.

E.T.S. Ebay also has buyer protection and from what you describe, you would qualify. It's worth checking out, if not for you, to perhaps keep someone else from being duped by this seller.

PLEASE do followup feedback on Ebay so anyone looking to buy can check and see that yes, you got the eggs intact and yes, some hatched BUT they are not silkies and of unknown breeds. That would be a huge favor for those of us who still do roll the dice and sometimes buy on Ebay

I always to do followup and mention how many eggs made it to lockdown or hatched, just good info. That they were of a completely different breed is the epitome of dishonest.

I left follow up feedback.

Seller is sbddan304.

Now he's saying that I should have known his silkies weren't pure because he wrote in the ad that he free ranges them......Like I'm supposed to know that he has other roosters than silkie roosters. Yep, all my fault.... Some people! Mine free range too, but I only have silkie roosters.

Even if they were crossed with something, they would still have black skin. The only way that wouldn't happen is if neither of the parents had it.

Thats similar to a hatch I had with a cochin x silkie breeder on ebay. They were suppose to be frizzles and sizzles. I had 8 hatch. 3 of the 8 are clean legged with yellow legs. Very strange due to the breeds normal traits. Many of them have stange coloring too as if they are duccle crosses. I am sorry but I too got screwed on that.

May I ask what was the sellers name? I wonder if its the same guy

And for clarity, if it's not the same person you got yours from, what was your seller's name?
