my silkie hen pecked me....

i noticed she was in her roosting spot probably layig and egg.. i wanted to no if she was sitting on her baby considering the rooster and her mated before... so i picked up her butt to look and she pecked me!!! so i think it might be her baby what do u think? its only one egg tho too

I think any hen will peck you if you disterb them while they are laying. Just becuse you got pecked doesn't mean its her egg.. it means she wants you to leave her alone and let her do her thing. The nest box is hers.. the way she sees it. If you keep messing with her she will change where she lays/and or leave her eggs.

Silkies are great They was not my frist chickens I started out with some game chickens but now I only own silkies! They are great incubators..LOL and good mommas!
