My silkie rooster died suddenly

I was shocked to see our silkie rooster we have had for only a year was dead in the grass today. He was healthy and lively only yesterday and seemed totally fine! No blood or signs of a fight or anything. Any ideas?

He just ate chicken pellets and corn, and grass really!

They used to eat anything, ham, egg, veg, fruit but for the past few months just the pellets and on occasion corn
